THE WILTSE PIONEER CEMETERY When we restored this cemetery; changing it from a cow pasture to a cemetery honouring Loyalists, their families and neighbours; we pledged to maintain it. With this summer’s rainy weather it has been a bit of a challenge. The fact that there have been visitors there each month since early spring emphasizes the importance of keeping it looking its best. A donation from US member John Kelly UE was used to partially pay for a second battery so the job could be completed in one trip. We still need to find someone to trim along the fence and around the stones. A severe wind last week downed several trees along the road. Fortunately, I know someone with a chain saw who solved that problem, [Thanks, Kevin]. The neighbours trampoline was blown over the fence and one stone was broken. The road has been kept mowed as well so cars can drive to the gate.
