Who Are We

 

 

We are the Colonel Edward Jessup Branch of the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada, established in 1914 with the aim of bringing together descendants of Loyalists.  It is estimated that more than 6 million Canadians have UEL roots.

OBJECTIVES:

The Branch objectives were formulated in 1979 and updated in 1994. Those objectives are as follows

(a) To compile a list of Loyalists who settled in Leeds and Grenville.

(b) To identify as many as possible of their descendants now living in the area.

(c) To seek out and identify as many as possible of the original Loyalist homes still standing in the area.

(d) To seek out the burial places of as many as possible of the original Loyalist settlers and, with the co-operation of their descendants, mark them appropriately.

 

Col. Edward Jessup Branch Fees

FEES: 1. Regular, Affiliate and Associate Membership $ 50.00 due January 1 of each year. This includes membership in the Dominion Association - receiving two copies of the LOYALIST GAZETTE and the newsletter of the branch -JESSUP JOTTINGS.

2. Family Membership (including spouse & children) is $ 60.00 - Receiving only one copy of The GAZETTE and JOTTINGS.

3. Friends of the Branch $ 10.00 - receiving Jessup Jottings only.

4. Branch Associate Membership (Membership at another Branch) $ 10.00 - includes Jessup Jottings

5. Regular and Affiliated Membership APPLICATION $ 40.00 (above the regular yearly fees)
