From  The President’s  Keyboard

The beginning of summer has been exciting for the Branch.  Ann,  Fraser and I had our display at Harbour Days in Prescott

On June 30th Roy Lewis, Regional Vice President and your President were among a group of Loyalists invited to Rideau Hall for the Queen’s Royal Tree Planting ceremony and were seen on Global TV news that evening.  Member, Len Delaney attended the Queen’s Garden Party which followed the tree planting.

On July 1st the Jessup Family float was in Prescott’s Canada Day Parade.  A huge Kriska trailer was decorated with the Loyalist flag and banner, lots of Canadian balloons and flags and peopled with many members of the Jessup family who kindly invited the President of the Colonel Edward Jessup Branch UELAC to join them.  Vice President Gary Jessup’s  picture was in the Brockville “Recorder”

The Jessup steps at Sandy Hill cemetery will be rededicated on July 11th.  We will be at Loyalist Days in Prescott in August.

Looking ahead to fall, our Charter Dinner will be held at the Grenville Snowmobile club at noon on October 16th
