Approximately 45 United Empire Loyalists and Friends met for their 36th Charter meeting on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004 at the Grenville Snowmobile Club on the Charleville Rd.

Two of those attending received their certificate of regular membership in the U.E.L.A.C., having satisfactorily proven descent from a United Empire Loyalist ancestor.   This was Bonnie Morley and David Lange, grandson of Myrtle Johnston. 

A third recipient is Marvel Jenson, who was unable to attend, being from quite a distance away in the USA.

Also receiving certificates for their great dedication and diligent work on the Wiltse Pioneer Cemetery were Lucille Raymond and Mark Sedgwick who are non Loyalists.

A delicious pork dinner with pie was served before the annual meeting.

The program was entitled,"Visitors from the Past".  Presenters were:

Don Ruston as James Wiltse

Sandra Shouldice as Elizabeth (Betsy) Spicer who married Private John Bunker

Myrtle Johnston as Lois Sherwood who married Bemslee Buel

Don Galna gave a talk on the Wiltse Pioneer Cemetery and Dedication Ceremony and the 2014 Project-100 Years-100 Houses.

 

Sat.,Oct., 2nd at 2:00 p.m.-Dedication of the Wiltse Pioneer Cemetery

Mon., Nov. 8th, at the Brockville Tabernacle , 2nd Concession, Barry Wilson will speak about Benedict Arnold.  Barry, a Parliamentary Reporter, is the Author of four books including : "A Traitor in Our Midst".
