TECHNICAL SUPPORT : Dial-Up : Windows XP

Windows XP Dial-Up Connection Setup:

1. Select Start

2. Select Connect To

3. Select Show All Connections

4. This will bring you to a screen where you will find over to the right of your screen under Network Task select Create New Connection

5. This will bring you to a page that displays Welcome to the New Connection Wizard press Next

6. Then it will ask you for the Network Connection Type, it will have Connect to the Internet selected press Next

7. The next screen will ask you how you want to set it up, select Set up my connection manually

8. Then select Connect using a Dial-Up Modem

9. It will then ask for your ISP Name, enter in RipNET

10. Next enter in the Dial-In phone number:

RipNET Limited Dial-In Numbers
Brockville: Primary: 498-4638
Smith Falls: Primary: 253-7747
Kemptville: Primary: 236-3813
Cornwall: Primary: 930-9312

11. It will ask you who you want to create the connection for, select Anyone's Use, press Next

12. Enter in your Dial-in Username

13. Enter in your Dial-In Password, confirm the password.

14. Leave the check below and press Next

15. Press Finish
