10-digit local dialing will soon be mandatory

In 2006, businesses and consumers in several regions of Ontario and Québec will have to adopt 10-digit dialing for all local communications, except when dialing 3-digit telephone numbers such as 4-1-1, 6-1-1, 9-1-1.
